We thank all the devotees at first for the support to have come this far. On Sep 11^th, 2010 Ganesh Chathurthi day, we re-launched the fund raising for the Temple Operation Expenses. This program now called as Dollar a Day program.

As many of you know, the temple is purely run by volunteers. The New England Shirdi Sai Parivaar was started as a non-profit organization in 2006 with a group of dedicated Sai devotees. In 2007, about 40 families contributed at least $1000 each and started the Shirdi Sai Temple at Dracut, MA in a 1000 sq ft hall. This $1000 per family targeted to meet the day to day operation cost of running the temple for the first 3 years. Most of the contributions were paid in one lump sum or in three yearly contributions of $350 each which amounts to approximately $1 a day.

Three years over now and our devotee base have increased from 200 to 1500+. With Baba's blessings and grace, constant increase in the devotee base and the need to provide a better and bigger place to accommodate all visiting devotees, the temple is moved to the current location with approximately 5400 sq ft area with our own kitchen and dining area.

The bigger facility has its own expanded list of expenses in the form of Rent, utilities etc. Now we seek donations to meet the current temple operation expenses which come to approximately $8000 per month.

Current Operation Expenses at glance:

1. Rent $5400

2. Additional parking expenses around $400

3. Utilities - Water, Gas & Electricity - $500

4. Other expenses like kitchen supplies, insurance etc around $1500

The three year operation expenses come to around $300K. If about 300 families commit to pay $1 a day (or $30 a month/$365 a year), this target can be easily achieved. Indirectly this will accelerate the funding for the 'Temple Land & Building' project.

How can I contribute?

Your dollar a day can make a big difference. The contribution can be paid in one lump sum or with yearly or monthly payment options. The contributions can be made by way of Check/Credit card/Cash.
