TeamWalk

Jai Sai Ram. New England Shirdi Sai Parivaar's ( NESSP's ) mission is to promote the philosophy of Shri Shirdi Sai Baba and to accordingly support religious, spiritual, cultural, and charitable activities. In accordance with this mission statement NESSP has been part of an annual walk that takes place during the month of May in Lowell. Called the Lowell General TeamWalk, NESSP has been part of the Lowell TeamWalk for 4 years. TeamWalk has either a 3K or 5K walk. TeamWalk funds make a difference in the lives of today?s cancer patients by paying for medications, nutritional supplements, wigs, prostheses, support groups, skilled nursing visits, transportation, mini-grants, and supportive services to patients of all cancer types. Funds raised enable Lowell General Hospital to provide assistance, support, and services to help people feel better, build confidence and instill hope throughout their battle with cancer.

Many devotees register for this walk by donating money. You can choose to walk by yourself or in a group. Many people from NESSP choose to walk together as a big group. On the day of the Walk everyone walking with NESSP comes together and takes a picture. In this event even kids from NESSP have also taken part. At the venue there are a lot fun activities that everyone can take part in. During the walk many volunteers help cheer you as you walk. Youth Villages

New England Shirdi Sai Parivaar's ( NESSP's ) mission is to promote the philosophy of Shri Shirdi Sai Baba and to accordingly support religious, spiritual, cultural, and charitable activities. In accordance with this mission statement NESSP has been joining with Youth Villages, a private nonprofit organization dedicated to helping emotionally and behaviorally troubled children and their families live successfully, for the past 7 years. NESSP has provided devotees an opportunity to help children and families with their back to school needs through Youth Villages.

This year NESSP with the help of several devotee's generous donations was able to fund supplies for teachers and supplies to fill 51 backpacks for students. These backpacks are filled with pencils, pens, notebook, folders, and more. It gives children all the school supplies they will need as they start school this upcoming September. By others providing these children the supplies they need for school, families have one less thing to worry about. These children have shown their gratitude in letters that Youth Villages has shared. It shows how much of a real difference this makes in their lives. NESSP?s mission is to support several different types of spiritual, cultural, and charitable activities in the Boston area. The back to school drive held every year is just one of the ways that NESSP and its devotees are able to help the community and its people in need. This back to school drive has become an annual event to give back to the community. You can be part of this back to school drive by donating towards it through NESSP.

BigHelp

New England Shirdi Sai Parivaar's (NESSP's) mission is to promote the philosophy of Shri Shirdi Sai Baba and to accordingly support religious, spiritual, cultural, and charitable activities. In accordance with this mission statement, NESSP has been joining with Bighelp, a private nonprofit organization that works to provide education to underprivileged children in India. Bighelp secures all funds for children to make sure they are used for the intended cause of sponsoring the education of children who are at the risk of discontinuing their education due to financial issues. By striving to keep children educated and preventing children from dropping out of school due to circumstances they have no control over, Bighelp has been able to help so many children in India. Consequently, NESSP's mission resonates with that of Bighelp's. For this reason, NESSP has been sponsoring the education of two children in India from 2011. NESSP believes that in supporting these children in their journey for continued education, Sai Baba's philosophy of promotion for support of charitable and cultural activities is fulfilled
