Vocabulary Bee 3 / 16 / 2019  2:30PM to 4PM
Math Bee 3 / 16 / 2019  4:30 PM to 6.00 PM

Winners for all Competitions (Chess, Carrom, Essay writing, Video games, Art, Sudoku , Debate , Vocabulary , Geography , Math bee) will be given Trophies at 6:45 PM after Dhoop Aarti on Saturday March 16 th , 2019.

Rules for Geography Bee

Geography Bee we will be having groups of 1st -2nd grade, 3rd -4th grade, and 5th -6th grade. 20 multiple choice questions and also 5 tie breaker questions will be given. If we do not have enough kids enrolled in a particular group, we might cancel that group. Geography bee starts on Saturday March 16 th 2019 12:30 PM for 1 hr.

1st and 2nd grade Topics

  • US states and where they are
  • Regions of the US
  • Capitals of each state
  • Top 10 US cities by population
  • Highest points of each state
  • Lowest points of each state
  • Continents
  • Learn the countries of North America and South America
  • Oceans

3rd and 4th Grades Topics

  • (Everything from 1st & 2nd grades plus the following)
  • Major rivers of the world
  • Capitals of all countries in the world
  • National parks of US
  • 3 largest cities of each US state
  • Largest cities of all countries
  • Major islands of the world
  • Important farm products of the US (Potatoes in Idaho or Apples in Washington)
  • Bordering states/countries
  • Mountain Ranges
  • Major mountains (Highest point of each continent)

5th and 6th Grades Topics

  • (Everything from 1st & 2nd, 3rd & 4th grades plus the following)
  • Where major rivers start and end
  • Peninsulas
  • Capes
  • Regions of countries (Transylvania in Romania, etc)
  • Provinces of major countries (Canada, Australia, Brazil, Argentina, etc)
  • Lowest/Highest points of each country
  • Tourist sites, UNESCO World Heritage Sites

  • Most practiced religion of each country

Rules for Vocabulary Bee

Vocabulary Bee Contest will group 1st -2nd grade, 3rd -4th grade, and 5th -6th grade. 20 multiple choice questions and 5 tie breaker questions will be given. Vocabulary Contest starts on Saturday March 16 th 2019 at 2:30PM for 1 hr. Pick correct attached document for vocabulary bee for your child grade level.

Rules for Math Bee

NESSP Math Bee will be based on Math Kangaroo syllabus. Every grade level will get 30 multiple choice questions. The first 25 questions will be used to select the winners. The last 5 questions will be used only if there is a tie. Students will answer all 30 questions in 30 minutes. Math Bee would start on Saturday March 16 th 2019 at 4:30PM for 1 hr.

Winners will be Announced at 6:45 PM after Dhoop Aarti on Saturday March 16th .
